Hi
Since completing a PhD (looking at efficient induction of decision 
trees, e.g.
for nasty things like m-of-n problems) Ive been working at the 
Building
Research Est. here in the UK. Here Ive been doing research into the 
use of
advanced IT in the construction industry, e.g. CBR, KDD, KBS in 
general.
Experience of KDD to date is mainly using Clementine, SPSS, Excel, 
Prolog etc.
to model data sets such as domestic energy usage, timber stress 
grading,
building site productivity, etc.. Persuading budget holders/funding 
bodies to
invest in very promising technology has been slow and frustrating and 
now Im
looking to move on.
