Hi,

My name is Phil Bennett.  I work as an independent portfolio manager 
and
trading systems builder.  I utilize many technologies related to Data
Mining and am looking at Data Mining applications that I can apply to 
my
research.  My background incudes a BA in Economic Theory & 
Econometrics
and an MBA (BA from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, 
Ontario/MBA
from University of Toronto).  I have spent the last 12 or so years
involved in trading derivative products and portfolio management in
Toronto and NY, the last 4 on my own.  I specifically use neural nets
and statistical analysis for financial and economic modelling and
prediction but am branching out into the areas of Data Warehousing and
Data Mining, more because I need to than because it's interesting.  
I'd
appreciate hearing from anyone who has similar interests as this 
doesn't
seem to be a popular area on this list.
