DM: Introducing Redwing

Hello!

Introducing ourselves:  Redwing is a small consultancy company
specializing in advising telecommunications operators (telcos) on
developing and implementing their marketing strategies.  One of our
areas of focus is marketing systems and decision-support systems, and 
we
have assisted telcos with DSS system design and build projects in the
USA, Europe and Asia.  Our clients are leading telcos in these three
continents.

Telco applications of data mining are in their infancy, because it has
only recently become cost-effective to build transaction-level data
warehouses for the enormous quantities of data generated by switches. 
Consequently, telco marketing departments are still learning how to 
make
best use of the data they have.  The typical roadblocks to effective 
use
of data are not technological but human - insufficent management
understanding and inappropriate business processes (both upstream and
downstream of the data analysis).
