Pearson, Chicago IL Co-sponsored by the Chicago ASA and the Department Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Loyola University of Chicago This one-day conference is about models for hierarchical data and hierarchial models. Hierarchical data have observations at two or more levels, and are common in many areas. Some examples are repeated measures on the same individuals over time, students within classrooms within schools, purchases within stores or within accounts over time, and households within zip codes. The conference will cover traditional modeling approaches as well as recent innovations, and will be appropriate for both practicing statisticians and academics. The speakers are leading contributors to the analysis of multi-level data in the fields of marketing research, biostatistics, educational research and evaluation, and psychometrics.
