Dr. Ibrahim Kuscu CEC2000 Publicity Chair ------------------------------------------------------ Call For Special Session Proposals The 2000 Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC'2000) will highlight recent research covering all forms of evolutionary computations while fostering discussions and cooperative progress in the evolutionary computation field. Information on the successful CEC99 held in Washington, D.C. can be found at http://garage.cps.msu.edu/cec99/. CEC'2000 is now inviting special session proposals. All special sessions are to be organised around a specific topic(s) in order to encourage in-depth discussion. Special sessions will be an integral part of the CEC'2000. All accepted papers in the special sessions will be included in the published conference proceedings. All special session papers will be reviewed. The review process will be coordinated by the special session organiser(s). Each proposal must contain at least the following information: 1.title of the session; 2.organiser(s) and their detailed contact addresses; 3.one or two paragraphs describing the theme and topics covered by the session; 4.a potential list of participants; 5.a potential list of paper reviewers (can be the same as organisers). Please submit via email all special session proposals to the CEC'2000 Special Sessions Chair, Prof X. Yao: x.yao@cs.bham.ac.uk. Please use plain ASCII text. Enquiries about special sessions may be sent to the same address. We will continue to accept proposals until 15 November 1999. The proposal will be evaluated and notification of acceptance/reject will be returned as soon as practical. We are aiming at within two weeks of the proposal submission.
