Dear Sir, My name is Bogdan Cranganu-Cretu, and I hold a PhD in electrical engineering. I am now invited researcher at the Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan focusing in NonDestructive Testing for the Steam Generators in Nuclear Power Plant. The head of our team, prof. Takagi and I trhink that a valuable way of further improving the the NDT activity will be to consider KDD - and maybe appliyng some existing software to our problem. As I came across your article on the survey of software tools for KDD and DM I took the liberty to directly ask you - if you can help me with some refferences describing KDD and DM application on Fault detection - or related domains? I was not able to find the special number of ACM from 1996 on KDD - so I am missing some of the references there reported. I would highly appreciate some starting point from your part. Sincerely yours, Bogdan Cranganu-Cretu
