The twelfth Young OR conference is a biennial event organized by the
Operational Research society (ORSOC) aimed at practitioners of OR, both
commercial and academic. It is open to those who have been practising OR for
less than 10 years.

The conference is organized into a number of streams, at which participants
are encouraged to give talks lasting approximately 20 minutes. In addition
there are plenary talks, tutorials, a recruitment fair and various social
events, including the conference banquet. This year the conference is being
held at Nottingham University (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk).

The Data Mining Stream follows on from last year's successful stream. Topics
covered include, but are not restricted to

Classification
Regression
Data Cleaning
Warehousing
Outlier Detection
Clustering
Neural Networks
Genetic Algorithms
Support Vector Machines
Statistical and Bayesian Methods
Model Selection
Feature Selection
Clustering
etc.

Submissions of either a theoretical or applied nature are welcomed, including
real-world applications of new techniques such as SVMs, and applications of
existing techniques to novel problems.

Anyone wishing to participate should submit an abstract of around 200 words
to the stream organiser:

Hard copy:
