DM: RE: CHAID

For a brief overview, see SPSS's white paper on AnswerTree algorithms, which
can be found at (http://www.spss.com/registration/index.cfm?WP_ID=37). For
more details, I'd recommend looking at the original papers:

Kass, 1980. An exploratory technique for investigating large quantities of
categorical data. _Applied Statistics_, 29:2, pp. 119-127.

Biggs et al., 1991. A method of choosing multiway partitions for
classification and decision trees. _Journal of Applied Statistics_, 18, pp.
49-62.

I imagine that if you search the web using one of the better search engines
(e.g. Northern Light or Google), you will turn up some other online
resources as well. Good luck.
