Lectureships in Management Science/Management Information Systems/Statistics

Applications are invited for two full-time lectureships in the Department
of Statistics in Trinity College, Dublin.   These appointments, which will
be tenable from September, 2000, will be offered either as permanent posts
or on contract for up to five years.

The Department runs a four year undergraduate programme in Management
Science and Information Systems Studies (MSISS) and the successful
candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching of this
programme.  A new degree programme in Manufacturing Engineering with
Management Science will commence in October, 2000 and the appointees will
also be expected to contribute to this programme.

The successful candidates should be able to contribute actively to the
development of research within the Department in one of the three areas of
Management Science, Information Systems and Statistics.  Applications from
candidates with research interests at the interface of these three areas
will be particularly welcome.  The appointees will also be expected to help
develop research links with other departments in the College and with
researchers in other academic institutions.

Salary Scale: £17,354-£42,869 per annum.
The appointments will be made within the range £17,352-£24,488  per annum
at  points which accord with qualifications and experience to date.
