We would like to introduce you to Salford Systems, and offer our support on
any additional information you may need regarding CART & MARS Data Mining
Software.

(CART 3.7 now has "Weights" configuration options, & the new "Tree Coder"
package offers SAS Language Implementation of CART decision-tree rules).

For immediate information, please visit our Web Site at:
http://www.salford-systems.com (Demo Downloads available at Web Site). Also,
there are 2 slide presentations showing "screen shots" of CART and MARS at:
http://www.salford-systems.com/walkabout.html

Please let us know if there is any further information that you currently
need.

We have a 30 Day Evaluation version that you can actually use on your own data
as input, So if that would be of more use to you than the demo download,
please just let us know.

We also have the Training Schedule for Dan Steinberg listed at:
http://www.salford-systems.com/training.html This training class covers the
complete methodology of Classification and Regression Analysis.

In 1992, Mr. Steinberg developed the first PC-based implementation of the
original CART procedure, working in concert with Leo Breiman, Richard Olshen,
Charles Stone and Jerome Friedman. In addition, he has provided consulting
services on a number of biomedical and market research projects, which have
sparked further innovations in the CART program and methodology.

Dan Steinberg received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, and has
given full-day presentations on data mining for the American Marketing
Association, Direct Marketing Association and American Statistical
Association. Most recently a book he co-authored on Classification and
Regression Trees was awarded the 1999 Nikkei Quality Control Literature Prize
in Japan.
